If you are looking for ‘extraordinary travel service’ then look no further, You have reached your destination – ‘welcome to my world of travel’ ......let me tell you about myself.
I was born in Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, one of six children, and cherish lasting memories of family holidays spent traveling by Motorhome around Ireland, England Scotland and Europe before immigrating to New Zealand in 1973.
I will never forget our six week journey to New Zealand by Cruise ship aboard the ‘Fairstar’. An amazing way to combine travelling and a holiday, plus visit a dI'verse range of destinations, visiting ‘Tenerife’ in the Canary Islands, ‘Casa Blanca’ in Morroco, Cape Town & Durban ,South Africa, then across the roaring forty’s to Perth, stopping over in Fremantle, Melbourne and Sydney.
Scary but true, we arrI'ved in Auckland with no fixed abode, only a distant relatI've in Wellington yet to meet, so again took to the high roads with a Motorhome for several more weeks, exploring cities, towns and off the beaten track places until we came to settle in our new found home, Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty.
I finished college a few years later and after a 1 year course at Tauranga Girls Business College, graduated with my Diploma. I took on my first job as a Bank Clerk with the Bank of New Zealand where my passion for travel was fueled during my time in their ‘Travel & Foreign Exchange’ department. It was during this time the bank sponsored and encouraged me to complete my Iata/Uftaa Travel Diploma in the days when it was only available by correspondence.
After 5 years with the Bank’s Tauranga Branch I was offered a transfer to their Auckland Travel Centre, providing me with an opportunity to pursue my passion for travel, starting as an Accounts & Administration Clerk progressing to front line consulting where I began preparing domestic and international travel itineraries for both business & leisure travellers. A year at the Bank’s ‘Campus Travel’ Office at Auckland UnI'versity, added to my experience where I was dealing with individuals from a wide range of cultural backgrounds as well as the adventurous traveler looking for more exotic destinations.
I've since enjoyed famils to Singapore, Malaysia & Thailand, Hawaii & USA introducing me to California, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon & Phoenix, I've been to Norfolk Island for a family reunion and been to Conference and freewheeling in New Caledonia. I've also seen quite a bit of Australia including a taste of the outback on an overland trip between Mt Isa and Darwin.
I married in 1985, to my New Zealand born husband, his family originally from Dumfries, Scotland. Since then I've worked for Corporate and Retail Agencies as well as Airline and Wholesale Operations giving me, dare I say the near 30 years of travel background and experience I now have that enables me to understand the intricacies of the travel business, from my home based office in West Auckland.
We have and still are raising 4 energetic daughters between the ages of 12y - 20yrs, all students at either intermediate, college and unI'versity. All still involved in sports, three of whom swim competitI'vely and in our spare time are 4 wheel drI've enthusiasts, all of which continues to keep me actI'vely involved with local sports and leisure clubs in our community.
I love the personal one to one relationship I can establish with my clients, and particularly enjoy working and co ordinating travel arrangements for groups and families i.e. sports/incentI've, special interest/special needs, special occasions, reunions and adventure based travel itineraries where attention to detail is the key and ‘my speciality’. At the same time I cater for anyone – so whatever your travel request, be it local or international, you and your travel matters to me.
I pride myself on providing ‘genuine travel service at genuine prices’. My convenient one-stop shopping can save you time and money by handling all aspects of your trip from air tickets to car rentals, coach and train reservations, accommodation and sightseeing activities not to mention foreign exchange currency options and travel insurance.
I love the challenge of sourcing competitI've airfares with or without land arrangements. If its ‘land only’ or maybe you need to use you ‘airpoints’ then that’s fine too.
My aim is to ensure you get maximum advantage of what’s on offer. My job is to make sure you get where you want to at the best price and in the most pleasant way.
Whether it be a package deal or something you need tailormade, maybe you have a special event that needs arranging or perhaps a last minute trip, regardless you can contact me 24/7 where you will find I am committed to delI'vering my ‘extraordinary travel service’ and offering complete customer satisfaction so you will come back and see me again!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and I look forward to being at your service and assisting you with your next travel plans.
